The campus community has been dismayed by the racist Zoombombing incident which occurred last week in an Africana Studies class. Orient yourself through “Africana Studies Class Subject to Zoombombing,” by Ethan Bachand ‘22, Chief News Editor, and read through community members’ responses in “Members of Holy Cross Community Gather in Response to Zoombombing Incident,” by Hui Li ‘21, Co-Chief Graphic Designer.

As many mourn the loss of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who is celebrated as a champion of women’s equality, Holy Cross students pay her tribute, though some respectfully disagree on how to honor her legacy and when the next justice should be nominated. Read “Do Not Tarnish RGB’s Legacy,” by Maggie Connolly ‘21, Chief Opinions Editor and “The Choice is Clear: The Senate Must Do Its Job,” by Joe Barbieri ‘23, Opinions Editor.

In more uplifting news, The Spire Sports Section is excited to introduce a weekly Athlete Spotlight, beginning with a feature on Karter Seitz ‘22, from Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams, who was interviewed by Mike O’Brien ‘23, Chief Sports Editor.

To learn about how housekeeping services Holy Cross have been protecting the campus community and stopping the spread of Covid-19, be sure to check out “Unsung Heroes: Housekeeping Staff,” by Grace Bromage ‘23, Chief Features Editor.

For campus updates of a different flavor, read the latest from our satire section: “Scavenger’s Logs – Week Four on Campus,” by Hannah Johnson ‘21, Chief Eggplant Editor, a.k.a. “Making ends meet.”
