We asked our two in-house NFL experts for their end of season standings predictions. We took the aggregate of the two and this is how it came out. Perhaps some bias in the upper left quadrant, as our two “experts” hail from the New England area. But based off two weeks of football thus far, these predictions are some of the most reliable indicators out there. Our analysts are happy to provide sports betting tips in their drop in office hours.
This year’s standings tell a story of dominance up top and rebuilding at the bottom. In the AFC, the Ravens (12-5) claim the North crown behind a defense that stayed elite all season, edging out a scrappy Bengals squad. The East turned into a genuine toss-up, with the Patriots and Bills tying at 11-6 — New England gets the nod on tiebreakers, a reminder that division races often come down to the smallest margins. Out West, the Chiefs and Broncos matched records too, but Kansas City’s championship pedigree keeps them on top. The Texans (11-6) quietly had the best season in the AFC South, holding off a stubborn Jaguars team.
The NFC belongs to two juggernauts: the 49ers (13-4) were the league’s best team, and the Bears (12-5) surprised everyone by running away with the North. The East and South stayed messy — the Eagles and Saints both squeaked out their divisions at 10-7, with three or four teams bunched right behind them, making those races the tightest on the board.
At the other end, several teams had historically rough years — the Dolphins, Titans, and Browns all finished 1-16, while the Raiders and Falcons weren’t far behind at 4-13. Those bottom finishes set up a stacked draft order and plenty of offseason questions.
