Living in the Fenwick Spires
As housing selection winds down, campus is buzzing with juniors excited to decorate their townhouse and innocent freshmen with no idea what Wheeler has in store for them. But for those who hoped for Figge and had to settle with an electrical closet in Loyola, Reslife is happy to announce that more unique housing will be open for the 2026-27 year.
Were you hoping to live in Carlin but your silly silly roommate picked Brooks by accident? Fear no more! Stein 5 offices are now available to house sophomores and up! Enjoy the lively community of the Spanish department and convenient access to Steinbucks. Stein 5 has the feel of study abroad with none of those pesky visas or thousand-dollar plane tickets. Not interested in livin’ la vida loca? Consider the serenity of lower Kimball: ambient lighting from the few bulbs that aren’t burned out, faint music from the kitchens, and so much usable space you’ll say, “they should do something with this.”
For Kimball Captains hoping to finally get away, look no further than the O’Kane clock tower. Take in the beautiful view of downtown Worcester and Linden lane! Be a prankster and change the time on the clock to throw off literally no one — who checks that for the time? I mean, you’d think they’d at least have a bell or something in there, right? Didn’t we have a bell back in the day that got stolen? Surely we can afford to replace that. How much do bells cost anyway? I think my dad bought an old church bell from a flea market one time. Got it for like $50 because it was cracked. It said something like “Pass and Stow” on it, too. Kinda weird. What was I talking about?
Easy street is getting a new dorm! Sort of! SGA is sponsoring a giant hammock between Lehy and Hanselman. Reslife says it’s perfectly safe as long as it doesn’t get windy. Good thing Worcester never does! Want a roof? It’ll cost you extra, but there’s plenty of space in the Fenwick theater. After the performing arts moved from their O’Kane home (yes, the Fenwick theater is actually in O’Kane) to the Prior, the Fenwick theater has dearly missed its cheering audiences. With colorful stage lights, a full sound system, and fire-retardant curtains, you’ll have the coolest dorm on campus! Just try to ignore all the ghosts singing “Memory” from Cats. None of these new dorms quite to your liking? How about our new off-campus housing! Located a convenient 5 minute drive away, this new living community has 4 dining spots, its own gym, and 4 libraries. It’s currently known as “Clark University”, but Reslife is working on a name change. Now if you need me, I’ll be decorating my new dorm in the Fenwick spires. Go Cross go!
