Two Weeks Late

It was just a number of weeks ago that Valentine’s Day happenings swept the campus and caused turmoil for many students. A large number of the student population was exiled from their dorms as their roommates had “company” for Valentine’s Day. The number of students who happened to be “watching a movie” with a “friend” was astronomically higher than usual. These exiled students sought refuge on their friends’ dorm floors, but before sleeping the night away, it seems these exiles congregated and spent their Valentine’s Day together. With the recent winter storms and frigid temperatures, extravagantly large icicles had formed on the sides of many dorm buildings. As logic would dictate, the ice melted and these behemoth-like ice spears came crashing down and almost nicked a few students. The exiles, seeing this, decided to use their roaming time on the night of February 14 not to catch up on work, but to place themselves underneath these icicles. What are their intentions behind this action you might be asking yourself? No one really knows. When asked by the passerby couples coming back from Valentine’s night dinners, students stated that they’d rather “sit under the icicles than open Instagram again.” Thankfully, or as the students who participated would say, “unfortunately,” no one was harmed during this protest of Valentine’s Day. It seems that even the icicles wanted nothing to do with them.
