It “Maye” Have been a Fever Dream

No one, other than maybe your local Jets or Bills fan, wanted it to end like this although it always lived in the back of their mind.

The students who once held masses for Drake Maye have now begun holding various meetings where they each voice their hatred for Will Campbell, because it was obviously the LSU alum’s fault when Drake threw that practically game sealing pick to Julian Love with 10 to go in the fourth.

Despite this it seems they “Maye” have seen this one coming long ago. It’s always lived in the back of their minds that the Patriots faced more head coaches that ended up being fired than ones that didn’t. Obviously this wasn’t a telltale sign that maybe lady luck didn’t have a big hand in the Pats success. Just because the coaches got fired clearly doesn’t mean they were bad, it just meant that the coaches and teams decided it was time to see other people. The Justin Fields led Jets and Quinn Ewers led Dolphins were certainly a tour de force.

All non Drake Maye lovers, also known as normal citizens, should still be weary when crossing those who still believe Maye isn’t at fault. If you were to utter Drake “The Schedule” Maye in their general direction, be prepared for a tsunami of exceptionally loud soundbites defending Maye. Perhaps those eight turnovers were from one too many cookies, certainly not being out schemed defensively. The cookies will certainly be blamed before even a poor word is said in Maye’s general direction.

Despite this it is being reported that the students will still hold the occasional Drake Maye masses to hopefully carry the morale into next season. Being that the Patriots will face a first place strength of schedule, they will probably need all the superstitions in their favor.
