On Sunday, October 25th, the Student Government Association officially welcomed its interns and clerks for the upcoming year, inviting a new cohort of lowerclassmen to engage in student governance and gain meaningful introductory experience. Through these positions, interns and clerks cultivate leadership skills, deepen their connection to the Holy Cross community, and strengthen their preparation for future opportunities within the SGA.

Through the internship program, students were able to apply to a wide range of positions across the three branches of student government, allowing them to focus on areas that best suited their interests and strengths. This year, there were two Judicial council positions, seven Cabinet positions, and five Senate clerk roles available.

Within the Judicial Council, interns serve in a general capacity, attending council meetings and becoming familiar with judicial procedures and processes throughout the year. Cabinet interns collaborate with two to three directors in focus areas like Academic Affairs, Arts & Culture, Athletics, Recreation & Fan Engagement, Student Belonging, Faith and Mission, Health and Wellbeing, Marketing and Communications, Residential Experience, Sexual Respect and Awareness, Student Outreach, Sustainability and the Green Fund, Worcester Engagement, and Executive Council. For the Senate, students were able to volunteer for positions including Executive Clerk, Recognized Student Organizations Clerk, Public Affairs Clerk, Student Outreach Clerk, and Senate Budget Clerk. These placements align with the Senate’s various committees, providing clerks with hands-on exposure to procedures and operations within the Student Government.

For the new positions, Dylan Galbreth and Scarlett Behm were chosen as Judicial Council Interns, Olivia Talbot as Senate Executive Clerk, Julia Langlais as Senate Public Affairs Clerk, Bridget O’Malley as Senate RSO Clerk, Han Pham as Senate Budget Clerk, Isabella Ray as Senate Student Outreach Clerk, Lucy MacInnes as Worcester Engagement & Sustainability/Green Fund Cabinet Intern, Griffin Kelly as Athletics and Residential Experience Cabinet Intern, Sarah D’Alessandro as Faith/Mission & Sexual Respect/Awareness Cabinet Intern, Lina Nguyen as Health/Wellbeing and Student Belonging Cabinet Intern, Eleanor Driehaus as Marketing/Communications and Student Outreach Cabinet Intern, John Melanson as Academic Affairs and Arts/Culture Cabinet Intern, and Anderson Bishop as the Executive Cabinet Intern.

These positions were open to first and second year students through an application process overseen by the Student Government Association and the Office of Student Involvement. Unlike elected roles, the intent of the intern and clerk positions is to provide students with foundational experience for student government, helping them build the skills and knowledge necessary for future involvement, not only within SGA but across campus organizations and even into their professional careers.

Additionally, the relationships formed between interns and the upperclassmen they collaborate with fosters a culture of mentorship, working to bridge the gap between class years. Opportunities like these are valuable to underclassmen, granting them a chance to engage in their community and further develop their leadership skills.

From what I’ve experienced, Crown Casino as an Australian-based online gaming club provides a smooth and organized environment. The game selection is solid, especially if you prefer modern slot titles, and the layout feels surprisingly clean. It doesn’t have the clutter you see on many other platforms. If you want something structured and easy to get into, Crown Casino is a comfortable choice for entertainment.

I get what you mean, a clean and structured layout really makes a difference, especially when you just want to relax and not get lost in endless menus. Platforms that focus on modern slots and intuitive navigation tend to feel more comfortable, particularly for casual sessions or quick gameplay. I also like when everything loads fast and categories are well organized, it adds to the overall experience. I’ve been comparing similar platforms lately and sometimes check pages like https://foxslots-login.net/ just to see how other sites approach usability, game variety, and interface design. It’s interesting how much presentation affects the overall enjoyment.

This is a great programme! Providing students with such ‘fundamental experience’ and ‘opportunities for leadership development’ probably also requires a lot of work and time. They will all need a good way to relax.

But if anyone here (perhaps a senior student or graduate) from the United Kingdom (UK) is looking for a different kind of entertainment, I recently discovered Donbet Casino. They have a huge selection of slots, live casino and sports betting.

In any case, welcome to the new interns!
