An Ode to Buffalo Chicken Dip

Sorry Boys, I’m Taken This Valentine’s Day

It’s finally here, the big day has arrived!
The Chiefs win the coin flip
And from the kitchen, I shout,
“Who’s ready for my Beloved Chicken Dip”

More drinks are cracked
We take a sip
Our mouths are watering
For my Beloved Chicken Dip

The February snow rages on
The wind outside gives a whip
I yearn for something warm and safe
Like my Beloved Chicken Dip

The orange sauce oozes out
I prepare my hand with a chip
The scoop is heavy with spicy cheese
From my Beloved Chicken Dip

The first bite like an angel’s kiss
The buffalo hot against my lip
I am launched beyond this earth
It’s my Beloved Chicken Dip

I look forward to this day every year
When we’re gathered in friendship
Who really cares about that game
When there’s my Beloved Chicken Dip

Made with love and care and affection
On my heart it has a tight grip
Next year can’t come soon enough
See you later, my Beloved Chicken Dip
