Last weekend, the Black Student Union (BSU), Men of Color Athletes (MOCA), and Women of Color Athletes (WOCA) came together to host their annual Trap N’ Skate event. The Trap N’ Skate event is an annual collaborative Black History Month event held to celebrate Black History Month with the students of Holy Cross. The skating took place at the Hart Center from 4-6 P.M. on Saturday the 17th, allowing students to hang out with friends and skate while celebrating Black History Month. Additionally, there are a plethora of other things to be done if you decide you’ve skated long enough. Patrick Ryan, ‘27, said, “I’ve always enjoyed skating and missed the ease of being able to do it at home. With the Trap N’ Skate event, I was able to celebrate Black History Month while doing something I love with my friends” Overall, the BSU x MOCA x WOCA Trap N’ Skate was a great success. Patrick Notes, “It’s also fun to see your friends who don’t know how to skate fall over and over again.” The BSU is hosting another event in the coming weeks so keep an eye out for BHM Sneaker Ball.
