Thank You and Happy Holidays

Grace Bromage ‘23

Editor-in-Chief

As we publish our final issue of the Fall 2021 semester, it is time to thank everyone who has contributed to our success.

I would first like to thank all of our amazing editors and chief editors. Each week, I have been so impressed by the work you have put in and all the stories you uncovered around the community. We were also lucky this semester to have a great group of staff writers and guest writers who contributed impactful articles whenever they were able. Our copy editors, web editors, visuals team, and social media managers were also invaluable behind-the-scenes additions to the team. I’d also like to thank all of the people who sat down for interviews or helped us find people to interview. We wouldn’t exist without campus involvement, so their continued support is wonderful to see.

This has been my third year involved with The Spire. I started out as a Features Editor in my freshman year, before becoming Chief Features Editor in my sophomore year, and finally Editor-in-Chief this semester. While my college experience has been far from “normal,” my involvement with The Spire has allowed me to stay connected to the community whether I was online at home or in-person. It is then with a heavy heart that I announce that I will not be reprising my role as Editor-in-Chief next semester. Instead, I will be studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland.

I am happy to announce that my successor will be Julianna Mariani ’24. She will join Ethan Bachand ‘22, who has been a wonderful fellow Editor-in-Chief this semester. Both Julianna and Ethan have put in so much hard work to make The Spire what it is and I know that I leave it in capable hands. I look forward to seeing what direction they take The Spire.

Thank you again and have a happy and safe holiday season!

All the best,

Grace Bromage
