College life can be tough. One of the best ways to relieve stress is to learn simple meditation techniques. A simple ten or fifteen-minute breathing exercise every day can help you to overcome stress (and maybe find some inner peace and balance!). The goal of meditation is to limit distractions and make your mind clearer and more lucid. First, choose a quiet place to meditate and sit in a comfortable position. Make sure your back is straight. Next, try to sit with your eyes closed, and turn your attention to your breathing. You should try to concentrate on breathing through your nostrils, quieting your thoughts, and excluding everything else. The resulting calm will make difficult situations easier to deal with.
