Summer Bucket List Found Inside Bottle

Really Excited

Bom, bah, dip, di-di-di-dip

Summer is just around the corner! Huzzah! Woop-dee-doo! Hip hip hooray! Three Cheers! Okay, okay – we get it. With just two short weeks left in the academic year, I know that I, for one, cannot wait to slam my laptop shut and finally hang up my book bag for good.

A few days ago, something bizarre happened. I was sauntering along lower Easy Street, when all of a sudden, I heard an obnoxious rattling. Frightened out of my wits, I whirled around with my best Matt Dillon impression, only to find that I was alone and probably looking like a lunatic making finger guns. After regaining my composure with a self-pep talk and a little shoulder-shimmy, I continued on my merry way. I know this might be hard to believe – but the rattling followed me! I spun around again, pushing my sleeves up this time for good measure, and then I saw it. A clear bottle about the size of my hand was lying on the ground between my feet. My curiosity got the best of me (I figured I was safe since I’m not a cat), so I decided to take a closer look.

The bottle was slightly fogged over and it smelled like sea water and rusty cast-iron radiators. After pulling the cork, I discovered a wadded-up piece of paper inside that was sealed with the initials TBB. It did take some doing, but I eventually managed to smooth out the wrinkles enough to read the cramped handwriting on the page. A direct translation is presented below:

I have no idea how those fools managed to lose their summer bucket list or why they decided to stick it in a dirty old bottle in the first place. However, I must admit that their plans do sound fun, fun, fun! Anyway, from all of us on Team Eggplant, enjoy the rest of your time on the Hill and have a spectacular summer!
