Do I have this Right?
A number of weeks ago the animosity levels on the Holy Cross campus were at an all time high and rightfully so. The source of this hostility was due to the school announcing that ICE would be making a grand appearance on campus.
In response to this the students then proceeded to protest because of the exuberant water waste from this large supply of ICE! Here at Holy Cross the students know that it only rains about 5-6 times a week so water is a rare commodity.
This water used to create this ICE could have been used in many ways to better benefit the well being of students. This water could have been used to fill the Dips in the wonky Dinand walkway on the days where students are spared from rain. This way the students can experience the delight of maneuvering these puddles even on the days without rainfall!
Students also felt that this addition of ICE on campus was exceptionally poor timing given the recent developments throughout the county. These developments of course being the climate change and drought issues plaguing the country, because what other developments would there be.
Ultimately, Holy Cross students won’t stay silent when the school flaunts ICE on campus as they won’t stand for such a huge waste of vital resources.
