We appreciate The Spire’s coverage about concerns related to compensation for student workers and welcome the opportunity to share what we’ve done to address it. On behalf of the College administration, I want to assure our student employees that Human Resources and Payroll take these matters seriously.
HR and Payroll have conducted a full review of all reported issues with payments to student workers. Every inquiry has been addressed, and all identified discrepancies have either been resolved or are currently being processed for payment. The issues reported represent a very small proportion of all student employees, and every student who has worked and been properly hired will be paid for their time.
The upcoming launch of our new Workday system in January 2026 will enhance accuracy and transparency by streamlining timekeeping and payroll processes.
