The Sader Nutrition Kitchen, located at the top of Mt. Saint James in the Luth Athletic Center, is definitely worth the hike. This fall, the Nutrition Kitchen’s hours have been expanded from 7 AM to 3 PM, which is all the more reason to make the trek to grab a morning bite to eat or grab a wrap to go for lunch. The kitchen now offers an extensive lunch menu for all Holy Cross students, featuring delicious chicken and veggie wraps fresh out of the oven. If you are craving something sweet or savory for breakfast, try exploring the brand-new menu, which has undergone an extensive renovation.
The Sader Nutrition Kitchen is now serving some new special treats, including Apple Crisp overnight oats. These cups of goodness are chock-full of apple chunks and are topped with a delicious granola crumble. They are the perfect seasonal morning treat to fuel your fall semester. Additionally, the Center now serves customizable smoothie bowls. Every topping you can dream of is offered in your smoothie bowl at no extra cost. You can choose from a myriad of toppings, including chocolate chips, granola, coconut, chia seeds, blueberries, sunbutter, honey, and strawberries. Also, the Sader Nutrition Kitchen has introduced two new smoothies: Coconut Cream and Mango Dream. The smoothies are made entirely of real fruit rather than concentrates and are sweetened by a natural sweetener, Agave syrup, which is an excellent source of vitamin B. These smoothies are made with a variety of fruits, including mangos, pineapple, and bananas, and a healthy coconut cream. For the regulars at the Nutrition Center, do not fret, the Nutrition Center continues to serve the fan-favorite Tropical Green Smoothie.
The Sader Nutrition Kitchen takes pride in its ingredients, and the smoothies have been reformulated to follow the kitchen’s initiative to provide a healthier option for all students. The changes are a reflection of the hard work and care of Holy Cross’s dining staff towards a healthier student life on the Hill. These smoothies are perfect fuel for grueling and demanding practices and lifts. The Sader Nutrition Kitchen is an ideal location to grab breakfast to start an early fall morning or grab lunch with friends or teammates.
