On Wednesday night, Holy Cross’s chapter of Her Campus hosted a Girls Night in the Hogan Ballroom. Highlights of the night included tote bag painting, a half-hour pilates class (courtesy of Worcester’s very own Sculpt Pilates), massage chairs, and even live music! Pizza was also provided, which only contributed to a laid-back atmosphere characterized by a lack of stress.
Her Campus’s Co-Chair, Fiona Smith ‘26, reflected on the event’s success, saying that Girls Night was an opportunity for attendees to “take a relaxing break from the stress of their academics and enjoy some peaceful time connecting with one another!” On behalf of the Her Campus E-Board, Fiona extended her gratitude to SWELL (Student Wellness Education) for helping Girls Night run as smoothly as possible: “They helped us so much in organizing this event, and we really appreciate all that they did to make the night happen!”
The Spire’s Chief News Editor, Kate Santini ‘27, was also in attendance. While Kate is not a member of Her Campus, she regularly supports Her Campus events as many of her friends are a part of the club. When considering Girls Night in particular, Kate had a very positive experience, noting that she was amazed at how well thought out the night was, and how she was able to adequately de-stress: “They clearly thought of everything, from the food, to the variety of arts and crafts available, live music, massage chairs, and more. I felt like a kid again with my only focus being to do a subpar job on arts and crafts while laughing with my friends!”
As attendance wasn’t limited to members of Her Campus, nearly 100 students registered for the anticipated event, making Girls Night extremely successful in fostering camaraderie amongst the Holy Cross community. Even if you are not a part of Her Campus, many of their events are open to the rest of the campus community! Kate Santini ‘27 emphasized this, saying, “Attending can be a great opportunity to destress, meet new people, and reconnect with your girlhood!”
