What’s the deal with the Spring Concert?

Genuinely wondering

On April 29th, students officially found out that Natasha Bedingfield will be performing at the Spring Concert, with singer Iyaz opening the show. However, this announcement has come relatively late. In prior years, students were alerted of the performer weeks in advance, as opposed to the week of the show. This unusual timing has prompted rumors of conspiracy amongst the student population.

One junior, who has chosen to not disclose their identity for their own protection, voiced their thoughts on the strange delay. “From what I’ve heard, the College was on the verge of getting Taylor Swift to perform, and she backed out at the last second! Now where am I going to wear my ridiculous outfit?” Another anonymous source reports an alternative claim. “My contacts are telling me that the College almost got The Beatles to reunite for one last show on Freshman Field. Unfortunately Paul McCartney blew out his knee and had to cancel. Also, John Lennon and George Harrison are dead.”

Whatever the potential reason for the delay might be, students are still excited to listen to Bedingfield’s iconic songs like “Unwritten” and “Pocketful of Sunshine.” And as for Iyaz, students are- well does anyone know any songs by Iyaz? Wait, he made “Replay,” that’s him? No kidding!
