This week’s Peep My Crib features a special room on the fourth floor at the corner of Fenwick and O’Kane Hall. Known as the Exorcism room, this warm and inviting space is the home to the Holy Cross demon. It was kind enough to invite me for a tour of the space, and I got an insight into what makes this room so famous. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I am happy to share my opinion of the space for all. Upon entering, a chill went down my spine, but that was a part of the wonderful ambiance of the room. What really ties the room together is the blood splatters on the wall, the 100-year-old cobwebs, and the whimsical paint-chipped walls. You definitely want to take the trek up four flights of stairs to this fun hang-out spot. There is nowhere else on campus with such a rich historical background and charm.

The demon told me, “Ever since the exorcism, I’ve had a lot of spare time to invest in interior design. I wish I had more visitors to see what I’ve done to the place.” I am unsure why there are not many visitors as there are plenty of seating options, including the single bed with blood-red covers. The room is adorned with skulls, and when I asked Mr. Demon what made him choose this unique decor, he said, “It’s never too early to decorate for Halloween!” Mr. Demon said he would propose to the Student Government Association the possibility of a mini pop-up Spirit Halloween Store in his room this fall on campus.

Our demon has created this adorably rustic collage of the signatures of all his favorite vict- I mean friends!

Another perk of this room is the breathtaking view of Worcester, and you may even take your last breath in this room. This underrated spot is a perfect place to unwind and decompose- I mean decompress after a long day.
