Editor’s Note: As we’re getting down to the last few issues of Logan’s Fantasy Football Corner, there will be some changes to the format. Being this late in the season, I will no longer be publishing Waiver-Wire Pickups or Buy-Lows. Instead, I will keep up with Must Start/Sits and update you on my league’s standings. For the final issue of the season next week, I will release Must Starts for the Playoffs.

Must Start

RB: Najee Harris vs. Arizona Cardinals WR: Demario Douglas vs. Los Angeles Chargers

TE: Adam Trautman vs. Houston Texans

It turns out the firing of offensive coordinator Matt Canada wasn’t only beneficial to Kenny Pickett and the passing game, but to the ground game as well. Najee Harris carried the ball 15 times for a season-high 99 yards and a touchdown against a defense that is average against the run. Facing the Cardinals, who allow the second-most fantasy points to RBs, I expect Harris to keep up, if not improve, his production in the Canada-less offense.

Understanding my readers’ demographics, I’ll throw a bone at Patriots fans. This offense may look like it’s from the ‘50s, but Demario “Pop” Douglas looks to be the leader of the Patriots’s future WR core. He hasn’t had under 5 targets in a game since Week 5 and has scored 10+ points in 4 of his last 5 games. Playing a weak Chargers secondary, I expect a decent output from Douglas in Week 13.

Again, this is only if you stream TEs. Trautman has only had two games in which he’s been targeted more than 2 times, but with the Broncos rolling as of late, who knows? This is by far Trautman’s best matchup of the season, playing the 2nd worst defense allowing fantasy points to TEs. If Trautman is going to ball out any week, it’ll be against the Texans.

Must Sit

RB: Breece Hall vs. Atlanta Falcons WR: Drake London vs. New York Jets

TE: Tyler Higbee vs. Cleveland Browns

As a Breece Hall owner, this week may be a tough outing for the Jets star back. The hope is that whoever starts at QB is so bad that they just check it down to Hall, but playing against the Falcons defense that allows the second-fewest points per game to RBs may lead the Jets to lean elsewhere. If you have no other options, then roll with Hall, but be cautiously optimistic about his output.

Being a boom or bust-type of player, I’m calling a bust week for London against the Jets. Going against a stout secondary, look for the Falcons to lean more on the running game to move the offense. Ridder seemed to play at his best last week relying on his legs, and I anticipate the struggling QB to do more of that and fewer passes to London.

While this Browns defense has started to slowly move out of the top-ranking in allowing fantasy points to WRs and RBs, they still hold that top spot for TEs. Despite Higbee’s 19.9 point outburst against the Cardinals, playing a real defense will hold him down.

My Fantasy League

This week Jake Morrow (9-3) beat Pierce Elliott (8-4) 136.58 to 126.26. Pierce has now entered the fraudulent category of fantasy football teams, as he has lost 3 straight games and has likely fallen out of the one seed.

I say this because JT Burgio (5-6) and Mikey Mitrokostas (7-4) are neck and neck awaiting the results of the Monday Night Football game. Mikey leads JT 133.64 to 114.8, but JT has both Khalil Herbert and the Vikings’ Defense to play. If Mikey wins, he takes the top spot in President Rougeau Division, and if JT wins he moves into the 6th and final playoff spot.

In the final highlighted matchup, Matteo Delsanto (6-6) beat Sam Silvestro (6-6) 118.56 to 110.99. This win keeps Matteo in the playoff race, in which now 3, maybe 4 teams are tied at 6-6 for the final playoff spot.
