Purple Key Society sponsors a fundraising event each year during the holiday season to benefit the Nativity School of Worcester. First, Purple Key Society is a select group of motivated and dedicated students who work as leaders in the College community. They are driven by community, spirit, and leadership, and their mission of volunteerism leaves a positive and lasting impact on the Holy Cross and Worcester community. Furthermore, the Nativity School of Worcester is the recipient of donations made during the Giving Tree event. The Nativity School is an accredited, independent, Jesuit middle school that provides a quality, all-scholarship education to underserved boys of all faiths. Holy Cross frequently partners with the Nativity School, as we share our Jesuit educational roots. It is also important to note that they will begin to start enrolling girls next summer.
The Giving Tree revolves around Amazon gift cards and books on the Nativity School’s wish list. These will be donated to the students at the Nativity School so their families can purchase Christmas gifts. The Giving Tree will begin on Wednesday, November 15th, and end on Friday, December 8th. There will be tables in Hogan near Cool Beans from 9am to 1pm every day during that period where individuals can learn more about this fundraiser and donate. The Holy Cross community can also participate by using links on the website to donate any amount and funds will go towards gift cards for families or books for their school. Lastly, Purple Key Society would like to thank you all for your support during the holiday season!
