Always Gets First Choice Classes

As students prepare to meet with their advisors and think of all the classes they have to put in their backpacks in STAR, here are some of the great options open for students in the Spring semester:

Focus 331: How to Listen to Your Friends When They Are Talking to You

You probably think that you know how to engage in a conversation at this point in your life, but ask yourself this question: How often do you say “Wait what?” per day. Be honest. It is difficult being that one person who is constantly out of the loop. It is exhausting having to catch yourself up on gossip your friend already tried to tell you three times. It is tiring trying to piece together a conversation when you only tuned in halfway through. Take Focus 331 so you can finally be in the loop!

Finance 201: A Guide to Your Dining Dollars

This class helps all those who struggle with their dining dollar balance, and aims to guide those who are constantly peer pressured into buying an iced latte at 3pm just because their friend bought a muffin. Many Holy Cross students have found it difficult to resist the temptation of spending every last cent on random snacks throughout the day. Do not fall into the trap of calling your 2pm purchases “treats.” Instead, take Finance 201 to learn the beauty of saving! Think of that one friend who has $200 dining dollars right now. Be like that one friend. Take Finance 201.

Restrain Yourself 100: How to Stop Singing Every Five Seconds

We all have had a song stuck in our heads from time to time. It’s normal. It’s harmless. However, do you ever find yourself singing a little too often? Have you fallen victim to singing Lana Del Rey’s “Let the Light In (feat. Father John Misty)” every day, all the time? Admit it: you love singing “I love to love to love to love you!” And while it is an amazing and catchy song, it is not socially acceptable to be singing it every five seconds. Take this class to learn how to stop annoying your friends and be a part of society!
