The Spire Sports Section firmly stands with athletes across the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and other professional sports leagues around the world that have used their platforms as athletes to advocate for racial justice. While some say that politics have no place in sports, we believe that this is an issue that transcends politics; it is an issue of human rights. We hope that these athletes have set an example for Holy Cross student athletes across all of our teams to be able to use their platforms as collegiate athletes to advocate for justice and equality as well.
