Both polls were conducted independently by The Spire. We had seven student journalists from three different Patriot League schools included in the polls. The far right hand column indicates how many first-place votes a school received. Each student journalist filled out a Google Sheet in which they ranked the 10 Patriot League basketball schools from who they predicted to finish first all the way to tenth place. First-place votes were worth 10 points, second-place votes were worth nine, third-place votes were worth eight, and so on down the list where 10th place votes were worth one point. The points were then tallied up for each school, and placed according to their point total. The seven student journalists who filled out a men’s preseason ballot included Aiden Konold of The Spire (Holy Cross), Thomas Healy of The Spire (Holy Cross), Brendan Grudberg of The Spire (Holy Cross), Matt Mistretta of The Spire (Holy Cross), Matthias Jaylen of The Eagle (American University), Penelope Jennings of The Eagle (American University), and Olivia Link of The Brown and White (Lehigh University). The seven student journalists who filled out a women’s preseason poll included Aiden Konold, Brendan Grudberg, Max Ralph of The Eagle (American University), Jack Stashower of The Eagle (American University), Matthias Jaylen, Olivia Link, and Sydney Thompson of The Brown and White (Lehigh University).
